Summary: | A flame retardant rubber composition comprising synthetic rubber (component A), flame retardant (component B), sulfur (component C) and polyfunctional monomer (component D) as essential components, wherein per 100 parts by mass of component A, use is made of 10 to 200 parts by mass of component B, 0.1 to 15 parts by mass of component C and 3 to 30 parts by mass of component D. Thus, there is provided a flame retardant rubber composition that has excellent flame retarding capability and can realize fully satisfactory mechanical strength (especially, tensile breaking strength) even through steam vulcanization generally regarded as having difficulty in strength imparting. |
