Summary:A mobile communication terminal having channel information management function and a channel information management method thereof are provided to change the channel with high speed by using the stored channel information. A transmission/reception member(110) receives at least one among channel setting information and channel change information from a broadcasting channel management server. The channel setting information includes the channel allocation frequency number, EID(Ensemble Identifier), service ID, program/data service division factors, primary/secondary service division factors, transport mechanism ID and sub-channel ID. A frequency calculation member(120) calculates the channel use frequency values of the set channels by using the received channel setting information. A control member(130) controls the priority channel among the set channels according to the calculated channel use frequency values.
