Summary:A food keeping refrigerator is provided to prevent dry of foodstuff by controlling light and/or temperature and preventing nutrients from being destroyed but improved. A food keeping refrigerator includes a memory unit(30) for storing food storage information and light generation information, and a light generating unit(60) mounted to a refrigerating compartment and/or a freezer compartment, and generating and emitting light to foodstuff. A control part such as a microcomputer(80) reads out the food storage information from the memory and controls the light generating unit to emit light to the foodstuff according to the read food storage information.
