Abstract | PURPOSE: An operational microscope and an observation prism are provided to correct an aberration caused when the fundus and its surroundings are observed. CONSTITUTION: An operational microscope(1) includes an objective lens, a front lens(40) and an observation prism. The objective lens is opposed to an eye to be operated. The front lens for condensing illumination light illuminates an interior of the eye to be operated, which is removably inserted between the eye to be operated and an anterior focal point of the objective lens. The objective prism refracts the illumination light on two refractive surfaces to illuminate fundus and its surroundings of the eye to be operated. The objective prism is removably inserted between the anterior focal point of the objective lens and the front lens. And, the operational microscope is characterized in that at least one of the two refractive surfaces of the observation prism is formed in a curved shape in which the curved shape shows a certain negative curvature in a direction to an intersection of the two refractive surfaces. |
