Abstract | PURPOSE: A method and a system for monitoring a database environment using a micro-monitor are provided to monitor the database environment offering the plentiful, tough, and customizable data. CONSTITUTION: The database environment(300) comprises database servers having each data store(1-4), a communication network(14), an administrator client for executing an application(320) and a micro-monitor application(310). Data used by the application is transmitted to the application from database servers through the communication network. For a process for generating monitoring information, the micro-monitor application communicates with the database servers on the communication network in order to obtain monitoring database operation information. The database servers and the data stores form one database through 4 separate computing environments. The micro-monitor monitors a resulted distributed database. |
