Abstract PURPOSE: An integral pier-type mixed abutment bridge and a construction method thereof are provided to improve construction efficiency and shorten a term of works without a complex structural reinforcement by easily integrating an abutment, an upper girder, and an upper slab by adopting a ductile post. CONSTITUTION: In a bridge applied with a pier-type mixed abutment comprising a reinforced earth retaining wall(52) for reinforcing a banking area(51) and piers mounted in the retaining wall at constant intervals, an integral pier-type mixed abutment bridge(50) is composed of at least one reinforcement concrete ductile post(62) supported by a reinforcement concrete basic structure encased under the ground; a first copping part(63) for holding and propping up the ends of upper girders(53) over the upper sections of the ductile posts; a rigid part reinforcement(65) arranged over the outside of the first copping part, between the ends of the upper girders, and an upper slab(54); a second reinforcement concrete copping part(64) integrated to a rigid copping part by pouring integrally a connection reinforcement(66) for the first copping unit, the ends of the upper girders held by the first copping unit, the upper slab, the rigid part reinforcement, and a connection slab(55); and a reinforcement concrete connection slab joined to the outer end of the second copping unit, extended and projected to the upper end of the reinforced earth retaining wall at the constant length, and poured integrally with the connection reinforcement.
