Summary:PURPOSE: A motor control apparatus is provided to reduce the size of a rectifier circuit part, and allow the apparatus to be used in both configurations with or without a position sensor. CONSTITUTION: A motor control apparatus comprises an inverter circuit(2) which takes fluctuating voltages as an input, converts the voltages into desired voltage, and outputs the voltages to a brushless motor(3); and a control unit(4) which takes, as an input, input voltages to the inverter circuit, motor current flowing through the brushless motor, and a motor current command value indicating values to be applied to the brushless motor. The control unit controls the inverter circuit by maintaining voltage phase of an applied voltage to the brushless motor when the voltage value input to the inverter circuit is smaller than the voltage value to be applied to the brushless motor.
