Abstract | PURPOSE: To provide a new type moisture remover that can be dissolved in a polar solvent and can be applied simply by a screen printing method, and a thin organic EL (electro-luminescence) element that can maintain a stable light-emitting property for a long time by using the moisture remover. CONSTITUTION: As a moisture remover, a compound as shown in the figure(in the formula, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6 are each independently hydrogen, an alkyl group having carbons one or more, aryl group, cycloalkyl group, heterocyclic group, or a substance in which at least a part of hydrogens of the above each group is substituted by a halogen element, and the center metal M is a metal having coordination number 6) is used for the organic EL element, thereby growth of dark spots is suppressed. By using this organic compound as the moisture remover, the growth of the dark spots is suppressed and the life of the organic EL element is improved. |
