Abstract PURPOSE: An optical pickup unit in a lubrication structure in an optical disc drive and an optical disc drive having the same are provided to reduce a contact area between an optical pickup unit and a guide shaft by forming a hole part having a concave and convex shaped sectional surface in the optical pickup unit, thereby reducing friction resistance caused by the surface contact. CONSTITUTION: An optical pickup unit in a lubrication structure in an optical disc drive includes a pickup base(200) having a frame(210), a "U"-shaped guide part(220) formed left the frame, and two hole parts(230) right the frame. The two hole parts are penetrated by a guide shaft(140). The section of the hole parts is in the concave and convex structure continuously formed with contact parts to contact an outer peripheral surface of the guide shaft and non-contact parts doped with a lubrication oil.
