PURPOSE: Provided is an apparatus for treating solid waste by drying the solid waste by radiant heat of a heater, and thermally decomposing vapor and gas generated from the dry process by passing them through the heater to be deodorized. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a mixer with an outer vessel(51), an inner vessel(52), a rotating blades(53) for mixing solid wastes, and a motor for driving the blades(53), a heater(61) installed at a side of the outer vessel(51) for drying solid waste in the mixer by its radiant heat and thermally decomposing vapor and gas generated from the solid waste to remove odor by direct combustion, a reflection plate(58) installed above the heater(61) for reflecting radiant energy from the heater(61) to the solid waste in the mixer, an exhausting pipe for exhausting the gas passing out through the heater(61), a condenser(60) connected to the exhausting pipe for condensing vapor passing out the exhausting pipe, a return pipe(59c) connected to the inner vessel(52) for reintroducing non-condensed vapor and gas to the vessel(52). 본 발명은 쓰레기 처리기에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 히터에서 방출되는 복사열에 의해 쓰레기를 건조시키고, 쓰레기 건조시 발생된 수증기 및 가스가 히터를 통과하면서 열분해되어 탈취되도록 한 쓰레기 처리기에 관한 것이다. 이를 위해, 본 발명은 상기 처리물 용기(52)의 상부에 설치되어 고온의 복사열을 방출함에 의해 교반기(53)에 의해 혼합되는 쓰레기를 건조시킴과 아울러 배출되는 수증기에 포함된 악취성분을 열분해하는 복사열히터(6)와; 상기 복사열 히터(56)의 상부에 설치되어 복사에너지를 쓰레기에 반사시키는 반사판(58)과; 상기 히터(6)를 통과한 수증기 및 가스를 배출시키는 배출관과; 상기 배출관에 연결되어 배출관에서 배출된 수증기를 응축시키는 응축기(60)와; 상기 응축기(60)와 처리물 용기(52)를 연결하도록 설치되어 미응축 수증기와 미응축 가스를 처리물 용기(52)에 재유입시키는 회수관(59c):을 포함하여 이루어진 쓰레기 처리기를 제공한다.
