Abstract | PURPOSE: A photovoltaic module with a thermoplastic adhesive layer and a method for fabricating the same are provided to be capable of obtaining light weight and manufacturing with high speed and low cost. CONSTITUTION: A photovoltaic module includes at least one outer covering layer(1) on the front side, at least one outer layer(3) on the reverse side, and at least one adhesive layer(2) for surrounding a solar cell(4). The outer covering layer(1) has high impact-resistant, UV-stable, weathering-stable, transparent plastic with a low permeability to water vapor. The outer layer(3) has a low permeability to water vapor. The adhesive layer(2) is formed between the outer covering layer(1) and the outer layer(3) in which at least one or more solar cells(4) connected electrically to one another are embedded. At this time, the adhesive layer(2) comprises an aliphatic, thermoplastic polyurethane with a hardness of 75 Shore to 70 Shore, preferably 92 Shore to 70 Shore and with a softening temperature of from 90 to 150 °C.
