Abstract PURPOSE: Provided is a method for producing oxide-based phosphor which has improved property and is more stable than existing sulfide-based phosphor, by using combustion synthesis. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of (i) dissolving a phosphor host material having composition emitting desired light, and activator and co-activator in nitrate solution(step 1), (ii) adding an organic acid to solution obtained in the step 1, so as to form a precursor(step 2), (iii) adding a base to solution obtained in the step 2 with mixing, so as to adjust a pH of the solution to 3-9(step 3), (iv) igniting the solution obtained in the step 3 at 200-500 deg.C to form a precursor powder(step 4), and (v) mixing the precursor powder obtained in the step 4 with boric acid(H3BO3) or borax(B2O3), and calcining the mixture at reducing atmosphere to form an oxide-based phosphor(step 5). 본 발명은 원하는 색깔의 빛을 발광하는 조성의 혼합용액으로부터 발화합성법을 이용하여 2성분계, 3성분계, 4성분계 및 다성분계로 구성된 여러가지 형태의 산화물 형광체를 효과적으로 제조하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 발화합성법은 도 1과 같이 구체적으로 원하는 빛을 발광하는 조성의 형광체 모체(Host) 물질들과 부활제(Activator) 및 공부활제(Co-activator)들을 질산용액에 용해하는 단계(제 1단계), 제 1단계의 용해된 용액에 유기산을 첨가하여 전구체를 만드는 단계(제 2단계), 제 2단계의 용액에 염기를 첨가ㆍ혼합하여 pH 3∼9 범위로 pH를 조절하는 단계(제 3단계), 3단계의 용액을 200∼500℃의 온도에서 발화반응으로 전구분말을 제조하는 단계(제 4단계), 제 4단계의 제조한 전구분말과 융제(Flux)로서 붕소산(HBO) 또는 붕사(BO)를 혼합한 후, 환원성 분위기에서 소성하여 산화물 형광체를 제조하는 단계(제 5단계)로 구성된 제조방법이다. 이와 같은 발화 합성법을 이용하면 1 ㎛ 이하의 초미분체를 용이하게 얻을 수 있을 뿐 아니라 제조하고자 하는 산화물 형광체 구성성분의 완전한 혼합이 이루어진 액상을 발화시켜 얻은 전구분말을 사용하기 때문에 품질이 뛰어난 고순도의 산화물 형광체 제조할 수 있다.
