PURPOSE: A half-cutting device and tape printing apparatus incorporating same are provided to save energy, to miniaturize a tape printing device structure and to clearly and reliably cut. CONSTITUTION: A half-cutting device includes a half-cutter having a cutter blade(410) comprising an angular blade and moving breadthwise in respect to a tape-shaped member to cut; a tape-receiving plate(440) opposed to the half cutter with the tape-shaped member interposed between the tape-receiving plate and the half-cutter to receive the tape-shaped member being cut; and a cutter actuating mechanism actuating the half-cutter to perform a circulation operation comprising a cutting preparing operation moving forward from a cutting standby position to a cutting starting position toward the tape receiving plate, a cutting operation moving from the cutting starting position to a cutting completion position, a separating operation moving backward from the cutting completion position to a separation position and a return operation returning from the separation position back to the cutting standby position. 하프 컷에 있어서의 에너지 절약, 테이프 인쇄 장치 구조체의 소형화, 깨끗하고 확실한 절단이 가능한 하프 컷 장치 및 이것을 구비한 테이프 인쇄 장치가 제공된다. 하프 컷 기구는 테이프 수용 부재와의 사이에 도입한 테이프 형상 부재에 대해, 그 폭 방향으로 하프 컷을 행한다. 하프 커터는 경사 날로 구성한 커터 날을 가지고, 테이프 형상 부재에 대해 폭 방향으로 이동하여 절단 동작한다. 커터 작동 기구는 하프 커터로 절단 대기 위치, 절단 개시 위치, 절단 완료 위치, 이탈 위치, 절단 대기 위치 사이를 순환하는 순환 운동을 행하게 한다.
