PURPOSE: A communication terminal of folder type and a method for displaying information are provided to get detailed information quickly when a convenient notice is displayed on a sub-display. CONSTITUTION: When a collapsible communication terminal is opened from a closed state, a control section knows the opened state by an on/off detection switch and turns off a sub-display. The control section makes a decision whether convenient information of incoming record is displayed on the sub-display(S100). If it is not displayed, a waiting detail screen is displayed before ending the operation(S101).
