Abstract PURPOSE: A steel product with improved in the straightness (straightness after cold drawing) of a roller shaft necessary to attain high paper feeding accuracy which is the problem of a feeding/discharging roller, and a useful method for manufacturing such a steel product. CONSTITUTION: The steel product has ferrite crystal grain size No. 11.0 or below by the grain size number by JIS G 0552, and the content of N is regulated to less than 0.1%. Such a steel product can be manufactured by finishing hot working at higher than 800deg.C and carrying out cooling through the temperature ranging from 800 to 600 deg.C at a cooling rate less than 3.0 deg.C/s. 냉각드로잉 후의 진직성(眞直性)이 우수한 와이어롯드강은 C : 0.15질량% 이하 (0% 제외) Si : 0.05질량% 이하 (0% 포함) Mn : 0.3~2질량% P : 0.2질량% 이하 (0% 포함) S : 0.08~0.5질량% 이하 Al : 0.05질량% 이하 (0% 포함) N : 0.01질량% 이하 (0% 제외) 와 기타 잔류 Fe 및 불가피불순물로 이루어지고, 이 와이어롯드강의 페라이트입도는 ISO 643에 의해 No.11 이하로 되도록 한 와이어롯드강 및 그 제조방법.
