Abstract PURPOSE: Based on the correction set by the user, distance relay changes the correction of the grounding element for itself to the systemic situation to protect power transmission lines without failure. CONSTITUTION: Measure voltage and current from the place where the relay is installed. (the first step) Calculate the current impedance (ZA) from the measured voltage and current, (the second step), and calculate the load impedance (RL) from the calculated impedance (the third step). Calculate the total impedance (ZT) within the protection range defined by the user. (the fourth step) With load impedance and total impedance, calculate the impedance (RP) before the accident of the place where the relay is installed (the fifth stage). Calculate the resistance value (RR) and THETA from the impedance before the accident and change and store the protection area. (the sixth step). Check if the current impedance is in the protection area (the seventh step), if it is, trip the replay to protect the power transmission line (the eighth step). If it is not, proceed to the second step and repeat the above processes. 본 발명은 송전선로 보호용 디지탈 거리계전의 동작 제어방법에 관한 것으로, 종래의 거리계전기는 정정치를 정정당시의 계통상황만을 기준으로 정정하여 다음 정정시까지 정정치가 고정되어 있어서 계통상황에 따라 지락사고 발생시 거리계전기가 쉽게 오부동작을 일으킬 수 있는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 발명은 송전선로에서 지락사고, 단락사고, 단선사고 등과 같은 아주 다양한 사고가 발생할 경우 거리계전기가 게통상황과 고장저항에 따라 사용자가 설정한 정정치를 기준으로 계통상황에 맞게 거리계전기가 스스로 지락요소의 정정치를 변경하여 보호하도록 함으로써, 거리계전기가 오동작 또는 부동작 하는 것을 방지하도록 한 것이다.
