Abstract PURPOSE: A process for producing an organic fertilizer is provided to recycle marine sediment, produce good-quality fertilizer in a relatively short period and preserve shore environment. CONSTITUTION: The process comprises the steps of: adding a small amount of fresh water to pumped marine sediment, followed by dehydrating; mixing pulverized organic waste with the dehydrated sediment; stabilizing the mixture with a stabilizing agent such as calcium oxide to reduce waste toxicity and mobility, and improve characteristics of the mixture. 본 발명에 의한 해저퇴적물을 이용한 유기질비료 제조방법은 해저 퇴적물을 펌핑한 퇴적물에 소량의 담수를 첨가하여 탈수하는 펌핑 및 탈수공정, 그리고 탈수된 퇴적물에 유기성폐기물을 분쇄한 후 혼합하는 유기물혼합공정, 그리고 퇴적물 및 유기물을 혼합한 혼합물에 안정화첨가제를 투여하여 혼합물의 특성을 향상시키고, 혼합물의 이동성을 감소시키는 안정화공정을 포함한 순으로 진행함으로써, 해저퇴적물을 재활용하여 비교적 짧은 시간에 양질의 비료를 제조하고, 연안 해역의 환경을 효율적으로 보전함과 더불어 자연자원을 이용할 수 있도록 하였다.
