Abstract According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for estimating a SOH of a battery includes: a step of acquiring a SOC-OCV look-up table according to a SOH of a battery module or battery pack and storing the SOC-OCV look-up table in a memory; a step of calculating a change in a first SOC based on a diagnosis time and a rate of charging and discharging when the diagnosis time and the rate of charging and discharging are input; a step of calculating a first gradient for every SOC section corresponding to the change in the first SOC according to the SOH in the SOC-OCV look-up table according to the SOH; and a step of determining first sections having high diagnosis accuracy based on the first gradient. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 배터리의 SOH 추정 방법은 배터리 모듈 또는 배터리 팩의 SOH에 따른 SOC-OCV 룩업 테이블을 획득하고, 상기 SOC-OCV 룩업 테이블을 메모리에 저장하는 단계와, 진단 시간 및 충방전률이 입력되면, 상기 진단 시간과 상기 충방전률에 기초하여 제1 SOC 변화량을 계산하는 단계와, 상기 SOH에 따른 SOC-OCV 룩업 테이블에서 상기 SOH에 따른 상기 제1 SOC 변화량에 해당하는 SOC 구간마다 제1 기울기를 계산하는 단계와, 상기 제1 기울기에 기초하여 진단 정확도가 높은 제1 구간들을 결정하는 단계를 포함한다.
