Abstract Disclosed is a device for detecting a spark of an electric wire contact unit capable of detecting a spark due to micro arc in accordance with carbonization resistance which can be generated when an insulation body is damaged in accordance with deterioration of an electric wire, and a method thereof. The present invention minimizes a range of malfunction even if a semiconductor thyristor phase angle control load used for a complex load and a switching mode power supply (SMPS) load of an electronic apparatus are used in parallel so as to effectively prevent fire at a fire vulnerable area such as a traditional market and the like. 전선의 노후화에 따라 절연체가 손상될 경우 발생할 수 있는 탄화저항에 따른 미세아크에 의한 불꽃을 검출할 수 있는 전기 배선 접촉부 불꽃 발생 검출 장치및 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명은 복합 부하에 사용되는 반도체 사리스터 위상각 제어부하와 가전기기의 SMPS(Switching Mode Power Supply) 부하를 병렬로 사용할 경우에도 오작동의 범위를 축소시킴으로써, 재래시장 등과 같은 화재 취약 지역에 효과적으로 화재 예방에 도움을 줄 수 있다.
