Abstract Disclosed is a waterproofing method for a device. According to the present invention, the method comprises: a step (i) of combining metal oxide nanoparticles with a self-assembled monolayer (SAM); a step (ii) of coating the surface of the device with the metal oxide nanoparticles such that the surface of the device has super-hydrophobic properties; and a step (iii) of selectively irradiating the surface of the device having super-hydrophobic properties with ultraviolet rays, wherein a surface portion of the device, which does not require interception of moisture, is converted into a hydrophilic region by irradiating the ultraviolet rays, a surface portion of the device, which requires interception of moisture, is maintained as a super-hydrophobic region by being blocked from the ultraviolet rays, and the super-hydrophobic region and the hydrophilic region are formed on the surface of the device in an amount of at least one.
