Summary:Disclosed is an apparatus for determining short circuit and disconnection states of a control pilot (CP) line of an on-board charger which generates charging power for charging a battery in a vehicle by receiving power from an external charging facility. The apparatus for determining short circuit and disconnection states of a CP line of an on-board charger includes: a CP detector for detecting a CP signal at one point of the CP line; and a CP determination unit for determining the short circuit and disconnection states of the CP line based on a proximity detection signal detected by a proximity detection circuit for determining the connection state of the charging facility and the on-board charger, and the CP signal detected by the CP detection unit. Accordingly, the present invention can easily determine a fault and prevent damage to the on-board charger. 외부의 충전 설비로부터 전력을 입력 받아 차량 내 배터리를 충전하기 위한 충전 전력 생성하는 차량 탑재 충전기의 CP(Control Pilot) 라인 단락/단선 상태 판단 장치가 개시된다. 상기 차량 탑재 충전기의 CP 라인 단락/단선 상태 판단 장치는, 상기 CP 라인의 일 지점에서 상기 CP 신호를 검출하는 CP 검출부; 및 상기 충전 설비와 상기 차량 탑재 충전기의 접속 상태를 판단하기 위한 근접 탐지 회로에서 검출된 근접 탐지 신호와 상기 CP 검출부에서 검출된 CP 신호를 기반으로 상기 CP 라인의 단락/단선 상태를 판단하는 CP 판단부를 포함한다.
