The present invention relates to a service system and method for confirming a location of an IoT device. The system according to the present invention includes: a location service server that transmits an IoT device search request message to a message service center when receiving a location confirmation request for a registered IoT device from a first user terminal; and a second user terminal that outputs a beacon signal and searches for the IoT device when receiving the IoT device search request message from the message service center, wherein the location service server may provide a result obtained by confirming the location of the IoT device to the first user terminal on the basis of a result obtained by searching for the IoT device by the second user terminal. The present invention may provide a location confirmation service for an IoT device that does not have a GPS function and/or a mobile communication function using the existing commercial message service scheme. 본 발명은 사물 인터넷 디바이스 위치 확인 서비스 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 시스템은 제1 사용자 단말로부터 등록된 사물 인터넷 디바이스에 대한 위치 확인 요청을 받으면 메시지 서비스 센터로 사물 인터넷 디바이스 검색 요청 메시지를 전송하는 위치 서비스 서버, 그리고 상기 메시지 서비스 센터로부터 사물 인터넷 디바이스 검색 요청 메시지를 수신하면 비콘 신호를 출력하여 사물 인터넷 디바이스를 검색하는 제2 사용자 단말을 포함하고, 상기 위치 서비스 서버는 상기 제2 사용자 단말에 의한 상기 사물 인터넷 디바이스 검색 결과에 기초하여 상기 제1 사용자 단말에 상기 등록된 사물 인터넷 디바이스의 위치 확인 결과를 제공할 수 있다. 본 발명에 의하면, GPS 기능 및/또는 이동통신 기능을 구비하지 않은 사물 인터넷 디바이스에 대한 위치 확인 서비스를 기존의 상용 메시지 서비스 방식을 이용하여 제공할 수 있다.
