The present invention relates to a method of managing metadata in a cloud based digital data safe system. The purpose of the present invention is to provide the method and system which enable users to download digital data saved in a digital data safe whenever they need; and are capable of managing the information about the digital data of the users saved in the digital data safe in a type of metadata in a client of the users not in the digital data safe by encoding and saving the same in the digital data safe. Therefore, users′ digital data can be safely saved with a high level of security in the present invention. 본 발명은 클라우드 기반 디지털 데이터 금고 시스템에서 메타데이터 관리 방법에 관한 것으로, 사용자가 필요할 때 언제든지 상기 디지털 데이터 금고에 저장된 사용자의 디지털 데이터를 다운로드하여 사용 가능하도록 하고, 상기 디지털 데이터 금고에 저장되는 사용자의 디지털 데이터에 대한 정보들을 상기 디지털 데이터 금고가 아닌 사용자의 클라이언트에서 메타데이터 형태로 관리하고 이를 암호화하여 상기 디지털 데이터 금고에 저장함으로써, 사용자의 디지털 데이터를 안전하게 보관할 수 있도록 높은 보안성을 제공할 수 있는 시스템 및 그 방법을 제공하고자 하는 것이다.
