A control system for a street lamp is provided to control the power source of the street lamp by the remaining operation mode although one operation mode breaks down by selectively operating a contact output mode and a power output mode. A watt hour meter(110) calculates an amount of power supplied to a street lamp controlling device(100). A main circuit breaker(120) blocks the current applied to the street lamp controlling device when an excess current flows into the main wire. A leakage current circuit breaker(130) temporally blocks the current for the electric shock protection when the leakage current occurs. A switch(140) receives the reception signal for the remote control of the street light and outputs the control signal for the street light power control based on the received signal. An ordinary lamp switch(151) and an alternative lamp switch(152) are on and off by a switching control signal outputted from the switch. An ordinary lamp magnet switch and an alternative lamp switch apply or block power supply from the main circuit breaker to the leakage current circuit breaker. An ordinary lamp transfer switch(153) turns on the ordinary lamp manually. The alternative lamp transfer switch(154) switches the alternative lamp manually.
