Summary:An apparatus for vulcanizing a tire is provided to prepare an adjustment plate between upper and lower disc plates, so that the positions of two side walls for a tread type are exactly determined. Upper and lower disc plates(4,8) are attached to a side-wall mold used to mold the side portion of a tire. A plurality of segments(11) have a plurality of tread-shape molds(12) attached thereto. The tread-shape molds are used to form a tread part of a tire. A jacket(23) has a ring shape. The jacket is engaged with the segment. The jacket allows the segment to move in a radial direction through the vertical movement. Adjustment plates(61,64) is prepared in order to maintain the distance between the upper and lower disc plates.
