A DSSS(Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum) packet synchronization device, a DSSS receiver, and a DSSS packet synchronization method are provided to conduct spread code acquisition and verification based on a maximum correlation value without performing a code tracking process during DSSS communication where pilot channels are not equipped, thereby improving reliability. A correlator(200) converts an analog signal including a DSSS packet into a digital signal, obtains a correlation value between the digital signal and plural preset reference codes, and obtains a code corresponding to the digital signal if the correlation value exceeds a preset code decision value. A threshold value setup unit(300) sets a threshold value. If a correlation value of the obtained code is higher than the set threshold value and if a correlation value of a code located after the first packet period from the code is higher than the set threshold value, a preamble detector(400) recognizes a location of the current code as a preamble location to generate/output a preamble detection signal, and if not, the detector recognizes that the preamble location is not detected, then outputs a preamble non detection signal. A threshold value controller(500) controls threshold resetting of the setup unit according to the preamble non detection signal.
