Summary:A control unit for an electric rice cooker is provided to improve the appearance of the device and to prevent the damages of the product by installing a touch sensor on a printed circuit board. A control unit for an electric rice cooker comprises a control panel, a display unit, a conducting connector, a touch sensor(155), and a control unit. The conducting connector is made of gasket material, transmits an electrical signal generated in selecting a key to a printed circuit board(150) and is placed between the control panel and the printed circuit board. The touch sensor to which the electrical signal output from the conducting connector is received is placed at one side of the printed circuit board. The control unit controls the operation of the electric rice cooker according to the electrical signal output from the touch sensor.
