Abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition most suitable for controlling insect pests in paddy fields, comprising specific very small granules containing a pyrethroid-based insecticide in a polyurethane-based coating film and a water-soluble polymer and diluting the composition with water to make surface tension >=a fixed value. CONSTITUTION:A pyrethroid-based insecticidal composition of water suspension type which comprises very small granules containing at least one pyrethroid- based insecticide in a polyurethane-based coating film and >=0.5% water-soluble polymer, uses very small granules having <=80mum average particle diameter and >=800 ratio of average particle diameter/thickness of coating film and has >=60 dyne/cm surface tension at 20 deg.C diluted with water by 50 times. Especially Lissorhoptrus oryzophilus is controlled by making surface tension 60 dyne/cm at 20 deg.C and concentration of pyrethroid-based insecticide 300-1,000 ppm. Phenomena of submergence of young seedling of rice plant after transplanting in paddy field is prevented. |
