PURPOSE:To ensure feed and transport of sheets by allowing an attracting part to attract a sheet, which is swung, transporting the leading edge of the sheet to the gripping position, providing a butting member tube detained with a part of the attracting part at a part of a sheet gripping part, which is moved, and by gripping with the sheet put identical to the center of the gripping part. CONSTITUTION:A sheet attracting device 10 consists of an attracting part 14 equipped with an air suction hole through a flexible duct 12 at the bottom of a casing having a negative pressure chamber. Protrusions 15, 16 are furnished on the left and right sides of the tip of this attracting part 14, and a rod 17 is protruded on the other side. The casing 11 swings in the B direction about the contacting point of the rod 17 with the sheet 2 as the fulcrum. A gripping part 20 reciprocates in the E direction, and a plurality of gripping pawls 23-26 are installed protruding. When the sheet 2 is attracted and swung, the gripping pawls 23-26 advance, and a butting member furnished at the lower gripping pawls 23b-26b is detained with the bottom surfaces of the abovementioned protrusions 15, 16, and the sheet 2 is gripped in the center of the gripping pawls 23-26 through the action of the abovementioned flexible duct.
