PURPOSE:To prevent dislocation of the steering characteristics of the front and rear wheels by installing a front wheel and a rear wheel steering means in alignment so that the front wheel steering angle and the rear wheel steering angle are situated at an identical point on the preset steering angle characteristics. CONSTITUTION:Front wheels 1a, 1b are steered by a front wheels steering means 4 in response to operation of a steering wheel 3, while the rear wheels 2a, 2b are steered by a rear wheels steering means 10. To the rear wheels steering means 10 the steering angle information of the front wheels 1a, 1b is transmitted through front wheels steering angel information transmitting means 5a, 5b, and steering control of the rear wheels 2a, 2b by the rear wheels steering means 10 is made under the steering angle characteristics previously set on the basis of this amount of steering so as to accomplish four-wheel steering. The steering means 4, 10 are adjusted so that the front wheels and rear wheels steering angles are situated at an identical point on the steering angle characteristics set previously.
