PURPOSE:To execute the control processing of a general control LSI such as a communication LSI independently of a CPU to contrive to speed up the processing by controlling the LSI by program data corresponding to the operating status of the control LSI indicated by a state display signal group. CONSTITUTION:An address in a control memory 18 storing a control program to be supplied to the operation control of the control LSI is specified by the coupled information of respective contents of a register 22 for latching the status display signal group formed by the control LSI such as the communication LSI 13 and indicating the operating status of the LSI 13 and a counter 23 for executing counting operation at a fixed period at the time of latching the status display signal group in the register 22. The LSI 13 is controlled by the program data read out from the control memory 18 by the address specification and corresponding to the control LSI operating status indicated by the status display signal group. Since the control processing of the general control LSI such as the communication LSI can be executed independently of the CPU, the processing can be speed up and the efficiency of the CPU can be improved.
