Abstract | PURPOSE:To always execute satisfactory image pickup in correspondence with conditions by using a mechanical shutter in a recording mode in a frame unit and using an electronic shutter in the recording mode in a field unit. CONSTITUTION:The mechanical shutter 4 is provided in front of a CCD(Charge Coupled Device) image-pickup element 1 and the electronic shutter means 12 is provided for the CCD image pickup element 1. The mechanical shutter 4 is used in the recording mode in the frame unit and the electronic shutter 12 is at least taken precedence in the recording mode in the field unit. With changing timing in which the shutter 4 is closed in accordance with a signal from a setting circuit 7, a shutter speed is varied. Thus, The image pickup of frame still can be executed. Since an image pickup signal can continuously be obtained in the image pickup mode of field still, the control of autofocus and the like can continuously be executed and satisfactory image pickup can be executed. |
