Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain the titled inhibiting agent containing at least one kind of compound selected from a pyridine derivative and pyrimidine derivative. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of compound selected from a compound (e.g. 3-chloro-2,6-dihydroxypyridine) expressed by formula I [R is H or halogen; R is H, amino or halogen; R is H, cyano or halogen) and compound [e.g. 6-amino-5-chloro-2,4-(1H,3H)-pyrimidinedione] expressed by formula II (R is halogen; R is amino which may be substituted by tenoyl; R is H, tenoyl or hydroxy lower alkoxy lower alkyl) is incorporated to provide the aimed pyrimidine nucleotide phosphorylase inhibiting agent. The agent inhibits strongly decomposition by pyrimidine nucleotide phosphorylase of antiulcer agent and simultaneously side effect such as weight decrease is very few and safeness is high also when the agent is used together with the antiulcer agent.
