Abstract PURPOSE:To realize a voltage follower circuit, a level shifting circuit, a minor signal circuit, etc., by using a crossing circuit. CONSTITUTION:As the voltage difference Vba between (b) and (a) is equal to the sum of the base-emitter voltages of transistors TRQ11 and Q22, Vba=VBE(Q11)+ VBE(Q22)=VT.ln(I1+I2)/Is is satisfied (VT: heat voltage; Is: adverse bias saturation current). In the same way, Vdc=VBE(Q21z)+VBE(Q12)=VT.ln(I2+I1)/Is is satisfied. Thus Vba=Vdc is obtained. This is always satisfied as long as VT is equal to Is and not by currents I1 and I2. As terminals (a) and (c) have the same potential, the terminals (b) and (d) are set at the same potential to obtain a voltage follower circuit. At the same time, Vba=Vdc is satisfied within a range of -VBE<DELTAV<VBE although the terminal is separated from the terminal (c) and with application of the potential difference DELTAV. Thus a level shifting circuit is obtained.
