Summary:PURPOSE:To reduce backlash between a driving side gear and a driven side gear, by moving weights, placed in grooves of opposed surfaces between a main gear and a subgear, through the action of centrifugal force and relatively turning the both main gear and subgear in accordance with movement of the weights. CONSTITUTION:A backlash reducing device, providing grooves 19, 20 in mutually opposed surfaces of a main gear 17 and a subgear 18, mounts weights 21 to be slidably fitted between said grooves. The weight 21, being formed into a roller shape of circular section, moves to the peripheral side by the action of centrifugal force generated in accordance with rotation of the both gears 17, 18, in this way, the device, relatively turning the both gears 17, 18, gives slash force suitable for a rotary speed. Consequently, the device can reduce backlash between a driving side gear and a driven side gear.
