Summary:PURPOSE:To save the forming cost of refractory and to execute molten steel having under high electric power since the initial stage of pouring by setting a combustible core at center of channel part, filling up powdery refractory in its periphery and sintering the powdery refractory by gas after burning the core. CONSTITUTION:The foaming styrene-made core is set on the channel part 8 and the powdery refractory 14 is changed into the periphery of the core and filled up by a vibrating forming. Next, the foaming styrene-made core is burnt by low heating of coke oven gas and then rosen slowly in temp. under keeping for the prescribed time to sinter sufficiently the powdery refractory. An induction furnace is set on a tundish and at the same time of pouring molten steel, the molten steel is heated under high electric power. In this way, as the powdery refractory is sufficiently sintered, thick sintering layer is obtd. and also the forming cost of the refractory is saved.
