Abstract PURPOSE:To make it possible to ensure the injection of fuel under high pressure in middle and low speed ranges, by connecting the discharge passage of a fuel feed pump to a fuel distributing mechanism, by providing a pressure boost piston mechanism for pressurizing a fuel pressurizing chamber and by connecting a working chamber in the pressure boost piston mechanism with a hydraulic control mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A fuel feed pump 2 is provided in a casing assembly 1,and is driven by an engine to discharge hydraulic oil into a passage 12 from which the hydraulic oil is fed into a conical slide valve 5 through a pressure regulating valve and an accumulator 4. Further, in such a device, a boost piston mechanism 7 having a large diameter piston 70 and a small diameter plunger 71 is provided on the line aligned with the center line of a valve member 51 in the valve 5, and the lower end of a hydraulic control passage 15 is connected to a working chamber 72 above the piston 70. The upper end of the passage 15 is extended to the inner periphery of the body 50 of the valve 5, and is therefore connected an annular groove 59 in the outer peripheral wall of the upper section of the body 50. Another hydraulic control passage 16 is formed in the body 50, and is connected to an overflow passage 16b.
