Summary: | PURPOSE:To prevent gas pressure during injection from going down as well as to miniaturize an injection valve, by forming a cavity, to be interconnected to a gas fuel passage of the fuel injection valve, in a setting part of this valve in a peripheral wall of a combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection valve 4 is attached to a cylinder cover 2 forming a combustion chamber 1. In this case, a ringlike cavity 7 is formed in a peripheral part of the fuel injection valve 4 inside the cylinder cover 2. And, this cavity 7 is interconnected to a gas fuel passage 9 inside the fuel injection valve 4 via a through hole 8, making it function as a gas fuel storage chamber. In addition, inner capacity of the cavity 7 is set to a degree of size not to drop gas pressure in the gas fuel passage 9 per injection. According to this method, a drop in gas pressure is effectively preventable without enlarging a passage diameter of the gas fuel passage 9, whereby stable output is securable from a Diesel engine. |
