PURPOSE:To provide the titled apparatus composed of an ending machine, a mechanism to lower a package, a mechanism to receive the package, and a mechanism to stop the detection of the package, and capable of surely sucking and holding the yarn end corresponding accurately to the suction nozzle and the outer circumference of the package. CONSTITUTION:An ending machine which runs along a spinning frame, stops in front of the yarn breakage spindle, and performs the ending of the yarn, is furnished with the following three mechanisms. The package-lowering mechanism to lower the package P linked with the package-supporting members 3, 7 of the spinning frame is constructed of the movable holding lever 13, the operating lever 15, the hydraulic cylinder 16, the lowering arm 18, the first air cylinder 20, the lever 22, etc. The package-receiving mechanism reciprocating the operating position to receive the package P and the waiting position is constructed of the stationary supporting member 23, the feeler-supporting member 25, the second air cylinder 27, the stopper 30, etc. Finally, the package-detecting and stopping mechanism to detect the holding of the package P with the receiving member and to stop the lowering motion of the package-lowering mechanism is construced of the detection lever 31, the pressure-sensitive switch 34, the solenoid valve 43, etc.
