PURPOSE:To dispense with eye working and shacles for lightening a suspension system by interposing an elastic support block between at least one end of FRP leaf spring and a car body frame to support said end elastically displaceably and longitudinally of the leaf spring. CONSTITUTION:A suspension system 2 is provided on a car body frame 1 longitudinally of the car body. The suspension system 2 has a FRP leaf spring unit 4 consisting of FRP leaf springs 3 and having the longitudinal intermediate portion bound to an axle housing 6 by an U-bolt 5. In this case, both ends of a master leaf spring 3a constituting the leaf spring 3 are supported on the car body frame 1 through elastic support blocks 10. And the elastic support block 10 is formed of an elastic body like rubber in which washers 11, 12 are embedded, while bolts 13-16 are constitutionally planted to extend through these washers 11, 12. Thus, the ends of the leaf spring unit 4 can be displaced elastically longitudinally of the leaf spring 3.
