Abstract | PURPOSE:To make a shock absorber for use in a radioactive material conveying container compact by providing inside thereof reinforcement steel or stainless steel plates for improving energy absorbing efficiency. CONSTITUTION:A shock absorber is provided inside of an outer steel plate 3 thereof with a reinforcement steel plate 4-V for axial drop and a reinforcement plate 4-H for radial drop, and accomodates shock absorbing material 2. Each of the above reinforcement plates 4 restricts deformation of the shock absorbing material 2 to increase energy abosrbing efficiency of the shock absorbing material 2, and at the same time, the reinforcement plates 4 themselves absorb energy. |
