PURPOSE:To accelerate a purification reaction in a catalytic converter, by connecting a secondary air feeding system for exhaust purification only to an exhaust port of a front engine block in a V-type engine. CONSTITUTION:A secondary air feeding system for exhaust purification is interconnected only to an exhaust port 4 of a front engine block. Secondary air is inhaled into the exhaust port 4 by way of an air cleaner AC, a secondary air feeding main pipe 30, a joint 27, a secondary air distributing pipe 26 and a secondary air passage 17. The inhaled secondary air quickly oxidizes an uncombustive component or an incomplete combustion component, contained in exhaust gas, inside both the exhaust port 4 and a front exhaust pipe 5, and the heat of reaction heats the exhaust gas flowing inside the front exhaust pipe 5. The heated exhaust flows into a catalytic converter 14 via an exhaust concentration chamber 10 so that the purification reaction in the catalytic converter can be well accelerated.
