PURPOSE:To permit to set the intervals of a louver blind at the optimum value by a method wherein a part of headers, supplying and discharging liquid helium to and from respective cryo-panels of the cryo-pump, is formed so as to be an extendable tube to permit to adjust the intervals of the neighboring louver blind. CONSTITUTION:The middle part of the lower heater 16, supplying liquid helium to the cryo-panels 10, 10 in a heat shield 12, is formed so as to be the extendable tube 18 and the length thereof is permitted to be adjusted by studs 25 and nuts 26 while the upper header 14, discharging liquid helium from the cryo- panells 10, 10, is also provided with the same constitution. A cooling pipe 29, supplying liquid nitrogen to the louver blind 11, is also provided with the extendable tube 30 to adjust the intervals (a) of the louver blinds 11, 11 by the nuts 22, 26 so as to obtain the optimum value of discharging air speed. The interval (b) between the louver blind 11 and the heat shield 12 may be set at the optimum value by making the mounting position of a hanging bolt 33 slidable.
