PURPOSE:To easily confirm that whether or not all of a series of originals has been received at the receiving side, by transmitting information indicating the number of sheets of the series of originals transmitted at one time communication together with picture information. CONSTITUTION:A setting means which is composed of an accumulating section 2 and counter 3 and which sets that the quantity of picture information to be transmitted is equal to how many sheets of originals, is installed to a facsimile device at the transmitting side. The facsimile device at the transmitting side transmits the number of sheet information set by the setting means to a facsimile device at the receiving side together with picture information through a transmitting section 4. Then the facsimile device at the receiving side indicates the received number of sheet information on each original whenever picture information equal to one sheet of original is outputted. Therefore, it can be confirmed easily at the receiving side that whether or not all of a series of originals has been received.
