Summary:PURPOSE:To make the distribution of the intensity of light at the exit ends constituting a cylindrical reflector by disposing a cylindrical reflector satisfying the prescribed conditions between a light quide formed of optical fibes and a condenser lens. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical reflector 9 having the length (d) of the single fiber formed of a core 9a and clad 9b having a' radius and min. value alpha of N of incident luminous flux is disposed between a condenser lens 2 for condensing light source light and a light guide 3 of a radius (a) formed on an optical fiber bundle in such a way that the distance from the incident face up to the conjugate point of the lens 2 is a distance S. If the various beams of light are so selected as to satisfy the conditions of the equation I, the light source light reflect >=1 times on the boundary surface of the core 3a and the clad 3b, and the distribution of the intensity of the exit light from the body 9 is made uniform and does not increase in the central part. Therefore, the generation of the burn, etc. of the adhesive for optical fiber of the light guide is prevented with the simple and small size constitution and the adjustment of the optical axis of the light guide is easy.
