Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the data input processing time by performing decoding from an edge time width of the same kind as coding information of an edge part to reduce the number of times of a sampling timing. CONSTITUTION:There are three kinds of (TN, TW and TEW) time width T1 between trailing edges (e) and they depend upon the contents of data D. Thus, one edge (e), leading or trailing of time series data, is detected sequentially, and the time T1 between the edge detected earlier and the edge detected immediately after is obtained. From the decoding information corresponding to the edge detected in advance and the time width T1, the time series data is decoded sequentially. Thus, the number of times of sampling for decoding is decreased, thereby reducing the data input time.
