Abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain a compact, inexpensive board constitution by packaging an interface circuit group for console unit connection in another board, and connecting a console unit to a system board through said board. CONSTITUTION:A system board 1 and a daughter board 3 are connected together through a system bus 16 that a processor unit 11 has, and a console unit 2 is connected to the system board 1 through the daughter board 3 only when it need be connected to the system. Then, the processor 11 has two kind of execution modes; one is based upon firmware stored in an ROM12 through the system bus 16 and the unit 11 runs an optional job by using an RAM13 as a medium. The other mode is based upon firmware stored in a function control circuit 23 in the console and the unit 11 controls the function control circuit 23. |
