Summary:PURPOSE:A lubicant composition for high temperature useful for hot processing such as rolling, forging, drawing, extrusion, etc. of metals and alloys, having improved lubricating properties free from environmental pollution of operation, containing graphite powder and animal protein in a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:The desired lubricant composition containing (A) 50-95wt% graphite powder having an average particle diameter of preferably 0.3-30mu and (B) 5-50wt% animal protein (preferable example; glue, gelatin, casein). The composition is usually used as an aqueous dispersion having a solid content concentration of 5-35wt%, it is applied to the surface of a metal or tool, dried to form a film, and hot processing is carried out.
