Summary:PURPOSE:To make the volume of the front part that becomes shade when the divided diaphragm is projected vertically nearly equal, to prevent deterioration of characteristics due to concavity of the cone, and improve fidelity by dividing the diaphragm into front and rear parts by a plane that passes the front face of a baffle plate. CONSTITUTION:A conical speaker 1 having a conical diaphragm 2 and a frame 4 is fixed to a baffle plate 6 by a rising part 4' of the frame and the front face of the plate 6 is made a baffle face 6'. The diaphragm 2 is divided into two ports front and rear, against an assumed plane 6'' of the baffle plate 6'. The volume of a part that becomes shade when an equivalent piston vibration plane in front of the baffle face 6' is projected vertically on an assumed plane 6'' is designated as a part 7. The volume of a part that becomes shade when an equivalent piston vibration plane in the rear of the assumed plane 6'' is designated as a part 8. The parts 7, 8 of the volume of parts that become shade in front and rear are made nearly equal and thus, can cavity effect due to concavity of the cone is eliminated and sound of high fidelity is reproduced.
