Abstract PURPOSE:To ensure the checking of the position of a temperature sensitive part readily, by providing checking bodies, which are hard to transmit X rays, at the parts corresponding to the temperature sensitive part of the thermocouple. CONSTITUTION:A jig is provided at the part between an X ray tube 12 and an X ray film holding body 14. A thermocouple tube body 4 is arranged at the part between checking bodies 9 and 10, which are hard to transmit X rays, on the central part of the upper surface of a base 7. The X rays are irradiated on the tip part, where a temperature sensitive part 3 of a thermocouple 1 is located, and the tip parts of the checking bodies 9 and 10. A film 13 is developed and an X ray image is obtained. The images of the checking bodies are formed in a white color. The tube body 4 transmits the X rays, and the image is formed together with the temperature sensitive part. Therefore, relative positional relationship between the temperature sensitive part 3 and the tip surfaces of the checking bodies 9 and 10, which are located at a maximum allowable interval position A and a minimum allowable position B, can be measured readily and accurately.
